Well to state the obvious, as I intend to in future posts, this is my first post. So I
want to allow any and all readers an opportunity to view the world as I see it.
To help you understand who I am, I want to let you know a little about myself.
I am a 21 year old Combat Veteran, I left the Army to pursue a college
education. That being said please excuse my gramerical errors. I am still in
limbo about my future. I do know at least that I want to continue in service to
my country. Most likely not in the same way as I have in recent years but in one
capacity or another. I spent 15 months deployed to Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Every day wanting only to
come home to the great nation I was fighting for. I finally returned home on
April 2nd, 2008. Since coming home, I have noticed several things. Things that
we as Americans have let happen to us, our society, our government, and our
dream. We have also forgotten what makes our nation great. It seems that more
recently we have traded our dream for something that we were opposed to from
the start. No matter what package a bomb comes in, it is still a bomb. The same
is true about Socialism or any other form of a strong federal government. Any
man that is willing to compromise his freedom for security is a man that is
undeserving of freedom to begin with. It is my opinion that we have done just
that.
I wish only to speak my mind and receive
feedback, from people of like mind and those opposed. This is one of Americas
basics principals that I have taken for granted. I have lived in a community,
for most of my life, that seems opposed to most of my ideas on politics. I am
no stranger to harsh words spoken over ideals, and opposed to logic, the
loudest voice seems to win out. So shout back, I am all ears and willing to
view your oppinions.
